The RYA Day Skipper Theory is a comprehensive 5 day course that allows students to understand the key theory for safe navigation in familiar waters.

 

The RYA Day Skipper theory course is a recognised qualification covering chart work, tidal systems, seamanship, meteorology and collision regulations.

 

The course also deals with coming in and out of the harbour and the factors to consider when looking for an anchorage.

 

The course aims to teach students how to apply theoretical knowledge to their practical boating skills and is recommended prior to taking the Day Skipper practical course.
